NewEgg has had a number of great deals on pre-orders of fitness video games lately. This one is no exception. Just Dance 3 is one of the most anticipated games coming out in the Fall. Just Dance and Just Dance 2 for the Wii were the first games to teach real dance moves to real songs, rather than the old style of pattern-matching games where you stomp your feet or [ Read More ]

I’d previous posted my list of upcoming Kinect Fitness games for 2011. But one of the games I’m most looking forward to wasn’t on that list. It’s a game called Kung Fu High Impact, and it’ll be released in November for the Kinect. On our sister site ps3fitness.com, we just posted a review of a game for the PS3 called Kung Fu Live. Now, Kinect users may not be impressed [ Read More ]

Back in June I wrote about the amazing Nyko Zoom which allows you to play your Kinect in a small apartment or space by putting “corrective lenses” over your Kinect camera. I’d been anticipating the arrival of my Nyko Zoom this week, but sadly, it looks like the release date has been pushed to September 13, 2011. The good news is, this is probably not the result of a product [ Read More ]

It’s been a while since I posted a deal I came across. Here are a couple good ones for the Kinect someone out there may find useful: Michael Jackson The Experience at Amazon for the lowest price I’ve ever seen. Free $50 Gift Card with 4GB Xbox 360 Console with Kinect at Best Buy Buy One Select Xbox 360 Game and Get a Second Game at 50% Off at Best [ Read More ]

So far the Xbox 360 has had one excellent Dance game (Dance Central) and a bunch of subpar ones (Dance Masters, Dance Paradise). Coming on October 11, Ubisoft will be releasing the smash hit game that started the whole “real dance move” craze on the Wii for the Xbox Kinect. Just Dance 3 promises to have a ton of incredible features, including “Quartets” (allowing 4 players to dance together), and [ Read More ]

DanceMasters for Kinect Like DDR for your hands, arms, legs, feet, and body. Konami’s DanceMasters is the metaphysical heir to Dance Dance Revolution. Instead of tracking your feet’s motions on a dance mat, the Kinect tracks your entire body. Not as good as Dance Central, but not a bad workout either. Rating by steve: 3.5 stars Konami pretty much invented the dance genre game with Dance Dance Revolution. In many [ Read More ]

Today, Majesco announced that in November it will be releasing Jillian Michaels Fitness Adventure exclusively for the Kinect, coinciding with the release of other upcoming Kinect games announced recently. To be blunt, Jillian has had an awful history of releasing games on the Wii, with the horrific Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatums 2009, 2010, and 2011. The biggest flaws of those games were their poor use of Wii’s motion controllers. One [ Read More ]

Dance Paradise for Kinect A so-so dance game for the Kinect. Dance Paradise by THQ is less a “real dancing” game like Dance Central, and more of a throwback to the old “pattern matching” games on the Wii. Still, it provides some good fun in groups and a decent workout. Rating by steve: 3.0 stars Dance Paradise by THQ was one of the first dance games out for the Kinect, [ Read More ]

As we speak, both Amazon and Best Buy are vying for your dollars by holding Buy 2 Get 1 Free Sales. In both cases, buy any two Xbox (or Wii or PS3 or a number of other platforms’) games, and you’ll get one for free (as you can guess, the lower priced one is the free one, so buy three that are about the same price). They’ve got some great [ Read More ]
